About
A roleplay community built on claims you can check
Project Vice City is a serious, text-first roleplay community in development for GTA V on FiveM. This page is the short version of what the project is, who it is for, and what does not exist yet.
What we are building
A persistent roleplay world where characters accumulate history. Employment, property, vehicles, businesses and organisations are recorded, and they keep existing when nobody is logged in. The point of that persistence is not bookkeeping: it is that a character has something to lose, and something to be held to.
The medium is text. Conversations, actions and environment are written rather than spoken. That choice is not nostalgia for older platforms — it is what makes a serious roleplay community legible. A written scene can be read, quoted, reviewed and appealed. Voice chat cannot.
Who it is for
- People who want to write characters rather than operate menus.
- People who want a world where a civilian life is a legitimate goal, not a beginner trap.
- People who want administration that records decisions and explains them.
- People who are comfortable being told when the answer is no.
It is not for people looking for a competitive shooter with a roleplay coat of paint, or for a place to win an argument through volume.
How the project is organised
The work is split into two tracks that report separately: the game framework ( accounts, characters, persistence, sessions, chat) and the website and portal ( information, applications, administration). They share one set of contracts and one set of records. The website is not permitted to hold a second copy of the world, because two sources of truth is how economies quietly break.
What is honest about the current state
There is no public server. There is no whitelist intake. The framework supports persistent accounts and characters, local text roleplay and lease-based game sessions; the website foundation is being built in this repository. Employment, the economy, property, vehicles and organisations are designed but not implemented.

Where to read next
Each of these pages is maintained as the work changes, not written once and left.
Milestones
Both tracks, side by side
A finished website is not a playable server. These are reported separately for exactly that reason.
