Legal · Draft for review

Terms of service

What you agree to by using this website and, in future, the game server. Labelled as a draft because formal legal review happens before public registration opens.

1. What this service is

Project Vice City is an independent, community-run roleplay project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive. Current platform target: GTA V / FiveM with OneSync. In development — no public server is open yet.

2. Accounts

  • You are responsible for your account, your credentials, and everything done with them.
  • One person, one account. Sharing accounts and operating duplicate accounts to move value between them is prohibited.
  • You must be old enough to use the service. The minimum age will be stated here before public registration opens.
  • Selling, transferring or trading accounts is not permitted.

3. Acceptable use

The community rules (version: Draft 1 — in review) form part of these terms. Beyond them, you agree not to:

  • Attempt to access accounts, data or administrative functionality you are not authorised to use.
  • Interfere with the operation of the website, the API or the game server, including through automated traffic or denial-of-service attempts.
  • Use exploits, modified clients, or third-party tools that change the shared world or grant unearned advantage.
  • Harass, threaten, defame or dox other members, in character or out of character.

4. Sanctions and appeals

Sanctions are applied proportionally and recorded with a reason. Every account-level sanction carries an appeal route reviewed by a different staff member than the one who made the decision. Where a sanction results from an economic exploit, affected transactions may be reversed to restore the ledger.

5. Content you submit

You keep ownership of what you write. You grant the community a licence to store, display and moderate it for the purpose of operating the service: character applications and biographies, reviews and decisions, and community posts where those features exist. Confidential in-character information is not published because someone can view a profile.

6. Our content

The website, the framework, the design system and the written documentation are the community’s property. All rights reserved; no open-source licence and no asset redistribution rights are granted by publishing them on this site. Third-party trademarks belong to their owners.

7. Availability and change

This is an in-development service. Features change, data may be reset while the platform is being built, and the service may be unavailable for maintenance. Public development status is reported on the status page, including what is not implemented.

8. No warranty

The service is provided as it is, without warranty of availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or freedom from error. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Ending your access

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breaches of these terms or the community rules, with a recorded reason and an appeal route, except where immediate action is required to protect members.

10. Governing terms

The jurisdiction and dispute process will be stated here after legal review, before public registration opens. Until then this document is a statement of intent, published so that members can see how the community intends to behave.
